Live cricket in full HD

Android TV / Google TV

Install CricHD on your Android TV

CricHD is not in the TV's Play Store, so it is installed by entering a six-digit code into a small downloader app. It takes around three minutes, and everything is done with the remote.

112233

Your code — you will type it in at step 2

This works on Android TV and Google TV: Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Xiaomi Mi Box, Chromecast with Google TV and the like.

Fire TV Stick, Samsung or LG TV instead?

Fire TV Stick: there is no CricHD app for Fire TV, but the site plays in its browser. Open the browser, go to crichd.is and choose a match.

Samsung and LG TVs: they only install apps from their own stores. Use the TV's web browser at crichd.is, or cast the match from your phone.

1Get Simple Downloader from the Play Store

Open the Play Store on the TV and search for simpledownloader.

Install Simple Downloader, the app with the purple icon at the top of the results. The ones with orange icons are different apps.

Open it once it has installed.

2Enter the code

Type 112233 into the long bar at the top of Simple Downloader and press the arrow.

crichdtv.apk (43 MB) starts downloading. Give it about fifteen seconds.

3Allow the install, then install

The TV says that Simple Downloader is not allowed to install apps. That is normal the first time.

Choose Settings on that message, find Simple Downloader in the list and switch it on so that it reads Allowed. Press back.

The install carries on by itself; choose Install when the TV asks.

Some TVs, Google TV ones especially, hide the setting until developer options has been switched on. It takes a minute to unhide, after which you carry on from this step.

✓Done

CricHD is now in the apps row on the TV's home screen. Open it and choose a match with the remote; the picture is HD, so it is at home on the big screen.

"App not installed"

Almost always the TV is short of storage. Remove an app you do not use, delete the file inside Simple Downloader, and download it again with the code.

Entering the code downloads nothing

Check that it is Simple Downloader with the purple icon; the code means nothing to any other downloader.

Then make sure the code went into the bar at the very top: six digits, no spaces. If the TV shows search results instead, it searched the web for the number.
